They hadn't been prepared, none of them had, at least for nothing like this. Hunters? They could deal with those foul walks of life, but each other? They were all too stubborn, powerful...and unstable. They didn't have the time or energy to be playing such foolish games with each other. Reast would be the first to admit she was in the wrong with this Bickering and taunting Rion was normal in their relationship, it had been this way since the Firedrakes, but Reast had forgotten that there were other lives involved now. This had gone from a one on one match to a game of chess, and they couldn't risk losing anyone in this match.
Pointing towards the couch, Reast directed to the man where he should lay Lucee. She knew Lucee would awake soon, and she wanted her to be comfortable when she did. There was some guilt piling up in Reast stomach as she thought of the situation. Matteo and Lucee..they had the situation all wrong, and as much as Reast hated to admit it, they weren't mere children anymore. They weren't afraid to stand up in situations and fight, even if it meant they were fighting from opposing side. Sighing softly, Reast knelt down and began shuffling through the various DVD's they had collected. As she shuffled through the movies, she spoke in a loud enough tone that the man would be able to hear her, but not loud enough where Lucee would awaken just yet. "The names Reast, you hurt her, and I will skin you." Her voice seemed unchanging as she went from merely introducing herself to threatening the man. This was actually typical behavior for Reast, despite the fact that she hadn't attacked the man yet. At first she thought of attacking the man, but she sensed some good in him...and she hoped he would be good for Lucee's balance...Just maybe. Running her fingers over the various different movie titles, Reast read them quietly to herself. What were innocent children who were slowly becoming tainted into? Sighing softly, she finally picked out a random DVD case. Open the case, she pressed her finger on the button where the whole in the disk was. The case gave way and released the disk. Turning her body slightly, Reast slide the disk into the DVD player. Standing back up, Reast turned on the TV and set everything up.
Observing everything for several seconds, Reast made sure everything was in place before looking back at the man. Looking towards a separate couch next to the one Lucee was now on, Reast pointed towards it. "You can sit there. Some distance." Reast cared about Lucee's well being but she had to still kinda play a parent figure first. He could stay but he had to give some distance, that would be the rule for now. Taking the remote, Reast fast forwarded past the various commercials. This was an older movie seeing as it came out in 1997, meaning all these movies they were showing were already out as well. Sighing loudly, Reast narrowed her eyes as the TV told her she couldn't fast forward past the Pirating page. Of course the government would want them to suffer through the privacy act, despite the fact that absolutely nobody sat there and read it. If anything, everyone just sat there glaring at the screen thinking to themselves how stupid this was as they hit the fast forward button a hundred more times. Then finally, after the longer seven seconds of her life, they made it to the main screen. Across the screen read Hercules. Here they had the options of Scene Selection, Bonus Material and finally to actually play the damn movie. Growling under her breath, Reast used the remote to highlight the words that said Play Movie. Clicking on it, Reast placed the remote down and watched as the movie started. In reality, picking Hercules was more of a pun, but it wouldn't be funny until Rion, Matteo and Quinn joined them.
Walking out of the room, and into the kitchen, Reast prepared a large portion of hot chocolate. It would be enough for everyone once they had decided to join. The TV wasn't used often here, so Re knew it would draw the attention of anyone still awake in the housing unit. Returning to the living room, Reast placed the hot chocolate for Lucee on the table, and placed the man's on the counter next to him. This was the reason she didn't have children, doing these kinds of tasks were more painful than being torn apart limb by limb.
