Heroes always get remembered,
But you know Legends never Die.
If you don't know, now you know.
The water erupted from the monster lingering under it's surface. With the water separating, the monster hiding in it's depth exposed it's body to the cold night air. The large structure of the beast caused the waves to topple on top of themselves and bow before the very monster that had interrupted it's natural pattern. With each motion of the giant creatures body, the waves only seemed to grow more and more irritated with their routine being put under distress. That was until finally, the full appearance of the giant sea serpent could be put together. And as quickly as the serpent could be seen, it also disappeared. The waves rustled against one another for several more seconds before a man could be see wrestling against the waves to reach the surface. The waves seemed to be taking their wrath out on anyone they could, and in this case, it was a lost man. It had been several hours, a day top since Kaleb had woken up in this new world. And thus far, he was far from impressed with the harshness that mother nature had to offer to those only seeking another chance.
Bracing his arms out in front of him, Kaleb allowed the impacts of the waves to mostly be broken apart against his tired arms. The world was colder than he remembered...It was, dare he think it, quieter. Stumbling out of the temper-mental water, Kaleb was relieved to feel the sands resistance against his drenched shoes. Struggling with each step, Kaleb allowed the sand to cause him to stumble. Each step seemed heavier than the last, but this was just one more challenge mother nature put forth that he would conquer.
Once reaching the pavement of the town located on the island, Kaleb nearly fell to his knee's in happiness. There was an overwhelming sense of relief to finally be here, to finally be reborn promised land...He had made it. Climbing back to his feet, Kaleb slowly made his way down the small ally ways located between privately owned buildings. Things hadn't kicked off on the island just yet, which meant Kaleb still would have time to settle down while the population was small. Find a home....and maybe even a promising job, all things he had never even thought possible till now. Once reaching the center of the town, Kaleb took several minutes to take in the silence of the at peace town.
There were torches lined up across the walls of the buildings to light the way for the lost. And signs hung everywhere for those looking to make a life here, and those looking for work...It really seemed to be the Promised Land that Supernaturals had been waiting for during this conflicting time known as war. While it seemed things were finally coming together for super naturals everywhere, Kaleb knew this wouldn't last long. As the sly grin crept across his face, he slowly looked up from the ground and towards the town fountain that still stood strong where it belonged. Maybe bad things weren't coming, maybe the taunting evil that had been waiting for so long was already here.
