The darkness that was Reast came together particle by particle in a distant overlook of what appeared to be a church. Back when Promised Island was under attack, the Immortals had created an entire town all underground. The little town like creation held bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, common rooms, churches and even a garden that was self sustained. The small underground establishment had been abandoned for some years now but due to the nature of it seemed to be in decent shape. Learning over one of the railings, Reast let out a soft sigh. How odd it was to now be in a church of all places. A place of holy grounds and self sustained belief. It would be an understatement to say that Reast was not a church going individual but there was something about religious grounds that brought peace to people. While she wasn't necessarily a believer of such a placebo effect but it didn't hurt to remind herself on occasion what people would do to prove their cause. Their were enough candles in the small church to set the entire place ablaze in order to keep the room lit and yet that still didn't seem enough to do anymore that release a dull glow. Lines of chairs covered the floor below while the overlook of the church was empty. The entire structure was held up with marble pillars that radiated in reflection to the glowing candles.
It was an odd location to meet but seemed like the most logical location for the time. It was close enough that Reast would be to feel and hear the others but far enough away that they wouldn't necessarily know of her presence yet. After returning from purgatory, Reast disappeared off the map. Locking herself deep within her Chambers on Immortal Island, Reast hadn't seen the light of day for years. The unknown creature that had intertwined itself within her DNA while in purgatory had put her into a coma like sleep for years. It wasn't until Elrich had made his appearance that she had been able to maintain an awake like state. In and out of sleep took a real toll on your mind, it began chipping away at everything you knew and at everything you were. Was Reast still Reast if she couldn't remember herself? While the blood shed had remained engraved in her memory, the relations she had with her fellow immortals had began fading like a distant dream. Being here was like being home, at least like being in a home away from home.
Despite being home, there still seemed to be so much that needed to be sorted out. What was her role here? What was she doing here in the first place? Reast was monster who destroyed and conquered, not a hero who rescued and healed. The last thing she could be was a hero...even before falling into her slumber she felt herself becoming lost in a group who was fighting for what was right instead of fighting for their own self glorification. What was Reast? What was her relationships with the others? What was her relationships with Elrich after all of this time? There were so many questions but one things was for certain, she wouldn't bow and she wouldn't lose. With the growing tension and growing amount of unanswered questions, Reast knew that this wasn't the time to doubt herself or her decisions. A tingling sensation began to fill the air, one that Reast had become familiar with. It was the tingling sensation that came from a familiar darkness, a darkness that she had grown attached to. It was a darkness that filled her stomach with butterflies and a darkness that she had began to crave like a drug. There was no shaking this man, this monster that Reast had began to depend on. He had been her greatest love and also had caused her the most pain. While a majority of the pain caused was due to her own actions, she couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if she had done something different, if the world would have been different. What would have happened if they weren't the monsters that they were. Laughing out lightly, Reast shook her head. It was a ridiculous thought that she knew she couldn't dwell on.
