The liquid oozed between her fingertips before slowly creeping down her skin. The small droplets rolled off her fingertips, sending them into a freefall towards the ground. The droplets shattered against the dirt by the dozens as blood continued to flood from an open wound on Reast shoulder. The arrows that were embedded within her shoulder seemed as though they would be enough to bring Reast to a halt. Wrapping her fingers over the sturdy wood rods, Reast looked towards the men as she began squeezing the wood in her palm. The look on her face never seemed to change as she tore the arrows head back out from her shoulder. The ripping of her muscles echoed in the air and the once hopeful faces of the men now turned to that of true horror. With her skin still entangled with the arrows, Reast tossed them to the ground beside her. The men shuffled several inches back as their unsteady hand reached for the next arrow. As one of the men finally secured one of the rods in his grasp, he quickly raised her glance and searched for the demon woman. The man's entire frame froze in place as he realized that she was now mere centimeters from her. Reaching her hand out, Reast rested her palm lightly against the bow itself. Time seemed to hold still as the man released his final lingering breathes into the cold world around them. As the man released his final breath, he closed his eyes and awaited the pain that would follow. This woman, Reast, she was the angel of darkness, the kiss of death…
Screams cut through the air. The man quickly opened his eyes to find that he was fine but his comrade had instead met the fate. With eyes wide in terror, the man knew he had to help his fellow man but instead all he could do was watch as this creature dismantled him. Plunging her fingertips past the epidermis layers of skin was a simple task. The epidermis seemed to give way after several seconds of constant pressure. Things always seemed to get a little trickier when it came to the dermis and the subcutaneous fatty layer. Slowly pressing her body closer towards the man, Reast allowed the limited space between them to become closed. Bringing one of her hands to support his back, Reast lowered the man slowly to ground before mounting him. Withdrawing her supporting hand, Reast kept her other hand pressed into the mans stomach. While still impaling the mans stomach, Reast began to twist her wrist causing her palm to slowly face up. As her wrist twisted, the rotating palm seemed to dig deeper within the dermis layer of the skin.Slowly spreading her fingertip apart, Reast allowed the tearing to echo in the air around them.Looking away from her little mouse, Reast turned her attention to the man who had been staring in utter terror. Reast once had cared for a limited party, but since the conflict with who was once her family Reast no longer seeked out liberosis...Much rather, Reast now lived it. While keeping focus on the horrified man, Reast dug past the dermis layer and past the fatty subcutaneous layer. With her hand impaling the man knuckle deep, Reast felt the blood gush around her palm.Pressing her lips tightly together, Reast pushed her arm the rest of the way past the abdominal muscles. Blood splattered the area around them as Reast quickly withdrew her man from the mans stomach cavity. Not only had the blood splattered across Reast face, but it had also continued to pour from the mans stomach. There was far worse she could do and normally there was far worse she would do. Standing to her feet, Reast watched as the man began to gargle his own blood. No longer was he only suffered from his wounds, but now he was also suffocating on his own blood, drowning.
Stepping over the man, Reast did not look back towards the final man. Bodies scattered across the floor for miles leaving the once growing village of hunters now a ghost town. Each body had been ripped apart in its own unique fashion, in such a way that no one would ever be capable of replicating. While Reast wasn’t one to show mercy, it had become her sign to leave at least one man inches from death. This was her kiss. Flames began to consume the town along with all the bodies still lingered on the paths of it. As Reast continued into the small village, she allowed the smoke to be her coverage. The smoke blanketed her from the sight of the final standing hunter. As she completely disappeared from sight, she allowed her voice to echo through the air one last time. The last thing she had to leave with the sole survivor was the one lesson that Reast would never forget. “How do you fight a monster without becoming one?...By becoming a monster for those you love..”
