A strong memory. Curling her lips together, Quinn held her breath as her thoughts all seemed to swarm together in a clustered tornado. The laughs, smiles, gentle embraces the two's shared...All of which were memories that flashed before her eyes. The world around her seemed to black out as she watched him walk out from a destroyed city. There he stood with the others, and innocent pure Lucee. Under the rumble laid the sneaky banshee, but despite all that was happening...Quinn still only had eyes for him. Observing the memory, Quinn knew this was strong enough to direct the hat, the memory of them first meeting, and it was located directly next to the library. The library needed to be the focus, but something about the look in his eyes intoxicated her. This man she had hurt, poisoned with her impossible love, and then left, again. The butterflies in her stomach was not an accurate description for the cage she felt tightening around her chest. The heart was a wild animal, and that was why is had to be caged, hidden away from those who would rescue it.
The focused memory became blurry as the influx of emotions came pouring past the gates that Quinn had built. There was more than just the intoxicating look in his eyes...There was the caution of his smell, the warmth embrace of his skin against her, the scent she had grown familiar with as they shared their home together. The world around her spiraled back into focus, as Quinn found herself watching Rion. It had been the first time that he had shown her his home, their home that they could finally share together. Both were tore up from the Greek battle, but Rion had won Quinn the one thing she thought she needed. Freedom....Now, standing here without him, freedom didn't taste as sweet.
The flowers didn't seem as brilliant in color. The sun didn't seem to rise with as much grace, nor did it seem to fall with as much passion. Chocolate, honey, the sweets no longer held their sweetness, they grew bitter in the changing. The world wasn't as forgiving without him, nor was it a world that Quinn could find herself in. Slowly releasing the air that she found herself holding, Quinn allowed a single tear to crawl down her cheek. As the single tear came to a halt, Quinn allowed the memory to play out. The space between the lovers, the gentle embrace they shared seconds before their lips met..the final kiss shared. As the memory faded around her mind, the hat-like room spiraled around them. Focusing down at her feet, Quinn knew where such memories would take them, but such a fate was something she could accept. After all, the worst battles are between what you know and what you feel. When the hat would clear, they would be in thei---Rion's bedroom.
