The shadows settled as they appeared in a hallway not far from where they had just been. He let Lucee go and quickly grabbed her hand, he was sure he only had a few seconds before the others would come searching for him or would just naturally make their way down the hall to get to other places. Glancing at Lucee, Luca gave her a questioning grin and shrugged before he turned to pull her up the nearby staircase. As they made their way to the next level Luca held tightly to Lucee's hand, interlocking his fingers in hers to avoid her slipping from his grasp. It took him a few tries to find the perfect place, opening a few doors to glance inside before he decided on the beautiful meadow seemingly untouched by its inhabitants as the overgrowth of the beautifully colored flowers and vines from floor to ceiling. It was beautiful in an unnatural way, much like the girl, the way they managed to blossom in the shadows. Glancing briefly over the shrubs he could see that this was most likely one of the least visited rooms in the compound. It was the perfect place for this perfect girl he decided as he loosened his pull on Lucee's arm and gingerly lead her to a swing draped in vines of lilacs almost the exact shade of her eyes.
Luca let go of her fragile hand and stared at it as she let it linger in his palm, before looking down at her and smiling, she seemed at ease here amongst the flowers. Shaking his head as his lips parted slightly in amazement, "You're stunning..." he felt bad for being so brazen but he couldn't hold back around her. Slowly he sat next to her on the garden swing, reaching out to pick a yellow daisy that grew near his feet. Looking at the delicate flower as he spoke softly to her, "I've never met anyone like you.. with your abilities.. your..." He struggled for the words to describe her, "Your charm and beauty. And not just the outside!" He felt like an idiot blabbing on about silly flattery. Moving slowly as not to startle her, Luca pushed her hair to the side just lightly enough that his finger tips brushed against her cheek to tuck the flower behind her ear before lowering his palm lightly to her chest just barely touching her, "I can see it inside here, there's great kindness and love. The way you care for your family here. It's exquisite." His nerves finally caught up with him as he reminded himself they had just met and quickly took his hand back to himself. He hoped he hadn't scared Lucee, but something told him time wasn't in surplus here with the storm that literally brewed outside the compound. She was practically begging for his help, he could see it in her eyes she was afraid, and not of him but what they both knew was lingering around the corner.
