APPEARANCE
Reni possesses a fine bone structure with a thin frame. Nonetheless, she has a strong physique and is quite confident in all movements that she makes. This does not apply to when she is dancing as a character that would not have the same confidence, of course. Her hair is of a light blonde, and Reni has dark chocolate eyes that reveal little emotion. Her facial features are delicate for the most part, with a small mouth and soft cheekbones. However, her nose is quite long and can give her a rather regal or intimidating appearance at times.
Reni dresses according to the occasion, although her everyday wear typically consists of black leggings and a brown or white sweater and ankle boots, along with a brightly colored scarf (probably red). Her other outfits can be very showy and dramatic, or flowing and soft. They are generally ever-changing. During performances, she has a tendency to wear much more elaborate costumes than most dancers, which are accompanied by longer skirts (rather than something like a tutu) that are more difficult to dance in. Her hair is often left mostly loose unless performing, in which case it is usually secured tightly into a bun of some sort (although her hairstyle can vary day to day depending on her outfit).

PERSONALITY
One could describe Reni’s attitude as often a bit haughty or condescending. She is proud, although perhaps a bit overly so, of her accomplishments at a relatively young age (despite the fact that now they are getting to be not so impressive anymore). She is nearly always polite and will rarely lash out without being provoked, but her demeanor can become slightly patronizing if someone besides herself makes a mistake. She dislikes being questioned about her age and has a tendency to lie about it, putting herself at around twenty-five despite the fact that she is almost fifty years old (although her body did cease to age in her late twenties).
Reni is a hopeless romantic and enjoys the human world mostly because of how much she can relax and be frivolous. She is often dubbed high-maintenance and can act a bit spoiled on occasion, but Reni is genuinely nice and doesn’t intend to hurt others’ feelings with her selfish actions. Although she is admittedly quite self-centered, Reni loves the idea of love and family. She easily becomes snappish if someone makes a fool of her in any way (or just tries to tease the young woman), and apologizing does not exactly come easily for her. Nonetheless, Reni will feel embarrassment underneath all of her annoyance, and she responds to flirting in a childish way-- either ignoring it or scoffing.
SPECIES
Banshee
ABILITIES
Death Perception; the ability to sense an imminent death and to determine, generally, when and where it will occur. The death must be set to happen within 24 hours or less and at a location a maximum of 100 miles away, although the distance can increase based on attachment to a person. Only works on sentient beings and does not apply to the undead.
Banshee’s Wail; A piercing shriek or scream that can have various effects based on levels of protection on/around the ears. These can vary from no effect at all or basic uncomfort to permanent eardrum damage.
Fairy Abilities; Slightly enhanced agility, speed, and strength, as well as general survivability. Aging also ceases at a certain point, although they are not immortal by any means and can be killed by several methods.
HISTORY
Reni was born in Novosibirsk, a large city in Asian Russia. Her family was very well off, and the girl was sent to a special maths school at the age of eleven. Her mother wished for Reni to become a professor or teacher and claimed that the girl had an extraordinary gift with numbers. However, Reni herself was not so sure. She had always preferred physical activities, and throughout her early elementary schooling she had excelled in athletics. Reni protested lightly against the career path her mother had chosen, but she attended the school anyways and graduated middle school with the intention to attend a specialized high school with some sort of mathematical-related focus. All plans were tossed out the window when Reni’s father abandoned the family (which consisted of only Reni, her younger sister and brother, and Reni’s mother) in favor of running off with some other woman whom he had met during his travels in Europe.
That did not affect Reni’s family in a positive manner, and her mother was absolutely heartbroken. She no longer had the motivation to assist Reni and her other children with their academics, and she took to drinking. Reni cared for her siblings as best she could, but eventually they were shipped off to an orphanage and the girl was reluctantly forced to go back to high scool by an aunt who wished nothing to do with the children. At this time, Reni decided that she might as well do what she had originally wanted to do-- after all, her mother wasn’t there anymore to protest. For the next several years, Reni was instructed in ballet at an institution ran by several famous dancers. She was taught very carefully and became a promising student until finally the staff deemed her skills appropriate enough to begin working with a dancing company.
Reni joined one such group and worked there for a few years until she decided it was about time for a change; afterwards, she joined another. She continued to flit around, staying at a company for a however long she wished before leaving to join another. In this way, she also was not questioned as to why her appearance didn’t seem to change despite growing older, once she hit that stage. She finally moved to Promise Island in order to take an extended leave from her current dancing company, since they were pestering her about dancing again for the upcoming Swan Lake, in which Reni had previously played Odette. She had tired a bit of the role and wanted to try something new, since ballet was losing her interest.
