His familiar voice soothed the aching she felt if only for but a moment as his strong hands made contact with her delicate shoulders. The words meant to ease the awkward tension that settled on the beach were appreciated but not needed. Her face remained still, her body rigid in his grasp even after he turned her to face him. This body wasn't used to touch, other than that of her own ripping others to pieces, which only left her senses on overdrive. Only on a few occasions had she allowed such intimacy, reserved for only Reast and Luca really, when the moment was absolutely necessary for her well being. The hyperesthesia triggering her in such a distracting manor that it offered her a sick form of comfort, a distraction to cut off the neural pathways of her desire to kill. However her mind in this state was entirely thrown off, a trace of a life without the darkness lingered on her skin which only left her confused and unsure. Surely she knew Reast would never use her, but under pressure Lucee had cracked directing all of her confusion in the form of anger towards Reast. Elpis was the one to blame here wasn't she? Everything had been at least ok before she showed up. Her mind kept racing to the point she felt meek and vulnerable, the weakness causing her to curl up into Luca's arms.
Luca would see this as her desire for his company, and in a way he wouldn't be entirely wrong, but Lucee simply was incapable of making any other decision. She didn't want him to leave, his quiet company was comforting, this was the only response she knew would grant her want she wanted, giving him a purpose to be with her and not be pushed away. "I messed up Luca..." she said without looking up from his chest. Exploring the position she was in Lucee found herself tracing the more defined lines on her first love's chest. Had Luca always been this strong? She hadn't noticed the definition of his muscles till just now, a sense of selfishness swept over her. She had grown so self-centered as to completely neglect those who had stuck by her side, Luca and Reast. There was an urge for companionship through Luca, but what all that entailed Lucee wasn't quite sure. She knew what he wanted from her, but Lucee feared she would never be able to reciprocate this feelings in the extent he desired. Yet as a single tear fell to her cheek her eyes looked at Luca like she was doing so for the first time. With new eyes focused on him, the man who loved her through all of it. There was a sense of attraction Lucee hadn't felt before, staring at his figure Lucee tried to place her thumb on it but she didn't want to overthink it. What was this desire she felt for him, fire in the pits of her stomach an itch on her lips. She suddenly felt much looser in Luca's arms, nothing else mattered in this moment but him.
