Matteo's eyes followed the people who passed as they passed by him. He stayed, sitting on the bench and making sure to take in each face, learn their names, see who they were. The island had been teeming with new comers since the battles had seemed to stop. Some of the newcomers were not even supernatural. Some were loved ones of the supernaturals, children, parents, anyone. The island was a safe place for supernaturals, for promises, but not all promises had powers, that they were aware of at least. Over the weeks that had been, no, what had seemed to have been free of violence and drama, he had made friends. They had formed a team. They worked well together, they had even gone on a few missions together. They brought people to safety and made sure that they were left to find their way. He yawned, the sun was setting and the moon rising; so much of the power running through his veins had been teeming, wanting to free itself in the form of a fight, but he knew that right now, in a time of, what seemed to be peace, was not the time for that. He was learning ways to expel that power in other ways, finishing the rebuilding, going on missions, etc. Many things had been going on and on, things that had showed him that this may have been a safe haven, but it was not a home for him until he had made it his home. Now, now he would take the next step. With Quinn back, Rion's imbalance was no longer, well, imbalanced. Now, he was going to move into a house with his team.
Celeste ran her hands through her hair, pushing it all back, and bunching it on top of her head and into a bun. She had told Matteo to go out while she cleaned the house up. With Rion in s state of in-normalcy, the place had taken a turn for the worse. It had grown messy to say the least. She knew that this seemed to have been a sexist thing, her cleaning while she sent the boys out to play, but to her, it was something that she truly enjoyed. She didn't mind cleaning because of the relaxingness that came after. To just curl up on the couch, a few candles lit, under a blanket, and watching a movie with her family in a spotless home. It was something that she loved. It was something that she did not mind. Plus, she wasn't doing this on her own. She had the help of her Zodiacs. Aires was dusting, Cancer was outside, touching up the lawn. He was a meticulous one; on his hands and knees, making sure every blade of grass was even, every spiral tree was trimmed and groomed to perfection. Each of her twelve Zodiacs had a job as well, music was playing, everyone was working, yet, everyone was having a good time together. These may have been her weapons, but they were more than that, they were her friends as well. She was happy, she was home for once. It may not have been the royal life that she was raised in, but it was a life that she had grown to love.
Fenix's mind was racing after his run in with the little cat girl. It was something he didn't understand. What was she, what had she wanted with him? He wasn't sure, but since then, a lot had happened to him. He had gained control of his innerself, gained control of the Hell Hound within him. He was finally in a place of comfort. He was happy, had made friends, and they were planning on getting a place together. He had given up on finding his, what seemed to be soulmate, knowing that a time would come where fate would pull the two of them back to each other. It always had, and it would always continue to do so. When that time came, he knew that even though he did, in a way, love her. He would have to do everything that he could in order to kill her. She would be a threat to those who he had grown to love, to call family. She would do everything she could to destroy the place that he called home. All of this, to him, was more important that she could have ever been to him. He sat in the shop that was owned and run by Soaran. He was talking to both Soaran and Wyatt. The three of them had grown into what could probably be called a bromance at this point. They, along with Matteo and Celeste had really become a team. A family. They traveled around, bringing those in need back to safety, and with that, came a sense of achievement. A sense of purpose. That was something that, they all had seemed to want. To have a purpose. There was rumor that two others had wanted to do something of the like, Rowan and Kaleb, but, even though they had known where they were, they didn't know them enough to go forward and ask them to join them in their achievements. Eventually though, they had hoped that a time would come where they could. A time would come where they small team they had formed would grow even more and their purpose would swell into something even greater, something larger than what it was.
Wyatt and Soaran both had become something of an inseparable pair more so than the others in their team. They had become partners. They worked together flawlessly and when fighting, they seemed to be able to read the others movements before they were made. If one would jump up, the other would fly under and take the legs, the one jumping up being the distraction, the one going low being the assailant. That being said, the two of them had even learned to be able work together outside of fights, here in the shop. Wyatt seemed to be able to take measurements, and orders while Soaran worked in the back, completing the work and together, they had pulled in a boat load of money in only a few weeks, they had become not just a shop for fancy, dress attire, but a shop that made custom clothes according to what anyone had wanted. They had even gone as far as getting different materials from other realms. The shop had changed drastically since the time that Soaran was fitting the tall indestructible man for his wedding. Now, they were much more and they had a lot more fun this way.
Finally, the one that seemed to be the biggest surprise, was Enzo. He had finally finished his degrees, earned the title of Doctor by finishing his PhD. He had thought that this life, this life of being what seemed to be nothing was now so much more than that. He had always thought that being a SandMan was a curse, but in turn, he had learned that it was a blessing. It became something that he loved. He even went as far as being able to love the fact that he was finally doing what the other sandmen had been doing, going around and blessing people with dreams, fighting away the nightmares, and keeping the good dreams, putting the sand over the sleeping bodies, and allowing them to see the dreams. Eventually, he knew that he had to return to the Immortals, but, once he made it back, there was nothing that really made sense to him. Instead, they told him about Promise island, and so, he made his way there. It took him a few days to make himself at home, but he had found a group of friends, a group of people that he had truly loved. He found a team, and with his powers, he was able to not only bless people with dreams, but also, bring those in need back to a place to call home, to give those without a home, a place that they would soon call home. So many had come so close to turning, to losing their way, and turning into an enemy, but instead, the small group of friends, no, the family that he had finally claimed as his own, had saved them, had brought them to a place of tranquility and showed them a new way of life, showed them that they did not have to be tossed aside and thought of as a demon like the humans had once thought them to be.
Now, Matteo, Celeste, Fenix, Wyatt, Soaran, and Enzo had come to a place that they would finally be able to call home, but something was brewing, and the small family would soon be forced to decide. They all felt this brewing for ages now, but the time was finally among them. This team, this family. They would always be together, but who would they fight for? Who would they fight against, and what challenges would they face? They all knew, in the backs of their minds, that they may not all make it out alive. For the sake of them all though, they never once, spoke a word of that, instead, they just knew that until the time came, they would each fight for not only their own survival, but the survival of their family they had now formed.
