The night had just began to b one to its peak as the stars scattered across the sky began to be blanketed by dozens of clouds. The clouds shadowed the entire sky, stretching their coverage to consume everything in sight. And just as the moon too began to fade from sight, the clouds reached down to the ground. The clouds now consumed not only the skin above, but now also the air all around them.
The fog was thick enough to camouflage an entire town that was merely feet away. Reaching her hand out, Addy stretched her fingers and observed as the fog thickened around her skin. Shifting her hand from side to side, Addy let out a soft sigh as she brought her arm back to rest at her side. From the beginning Addy knew this was an odd island, but the different works going on currently were beyond her comprehension. Things had been simpler prior to death. There had been a time when Kyson and Addy stood with the immortals, stood with who they saw as family despite the odds. But, something had changed. Death had corrupted and twisted the portion of Addys heart that felt capable of maintaining a family. The glimmer of hope, of promise had been caged away with betrayal, with death.
Evaporating into the fog, Addy teleported towards the center of town. The group she once found herself loyal to had shattered across the island into many different alliances. Alliances that with no time at all surely would clash to define who truly held the power in a new defined world. Now the only thing left for Addy to figure out was who had released her. And why.
Raising her hands out, a eerie grin crawled across her carefully molded lips. "It's a hell of a feeling." Skipping down the tiled road, Addy randomly teleported to the mailboxes lined down the street. A bat quickly formed within the grasp of her palms as she swung her arms across her body. As the bat made contact with the mailbox, wood shattered into the fog filled air, leaving nothing but rubbish wood behind. After smashing several more mailboxes, Addy let out an echoing chuckle. Kyson would catch up as he saw fit, that much Addy knew, but there bigger ordeals to sort out. Ordeals such as who had released them, and why.
