It started as a tiny glimmer, much smaller than any star that L had encountered in her years of life. The small star seemed to dance within the night air at it's own tune, a tune that only it could hear. Reaching her hand out, L tried her hardest to draw the twinkling light in, but the harder that she tried the further away it seemed to dance away from her reach. The darkness around this glimmer began echoing with sounds of true enchantments. The giggle of a child, the sweet loving words of a mother, the early birds chirping. As all the sounds began blending together in harmony, the strength within L began growing. As the sounds grew louder, the brilliant light grew in size. The once tiny glimmer that was once no bigger that a shard of glitter now began to grow in mass, until finally it branched out into a giant orb. Reaching out once more, L grasped the orb this time, gently rocking it in her arms. And then, the light was reborn. Slowly fluttering her eyes open, L raised her arms to slowly push the top of the tomb from its location. It was an unmarked tomb within an unmarked territory in order to keep thieves from snooping around. Slowly pushing the heavy marble-like material from the top of her casket, L finally was able to sit up. How long had it been? Did it actually matter? Slowly rising to her feet, L tried to ignore that various crackles and pops that her body released as she stretched out her legs. There was no time to waste. Within seconds of standing a giant burst of energy erupted from her core, and absorbed her.
So much more than the town was showing....The pain and corruption that flooded the once promising streets seemed to taint far more than the mere stones surface of each walk way. The once love filled city was suffocating within its own blood shed, yet no one was stepping up to make a change...To correct the corrupting factors of this once lively town. The balance beams that this world danced along were beginning to loosen, and while the entire world was at stake...All the corruption led back to the island, led back to a particular group Eplis had heard of from mere rumor. Reappearing within the energy of light, L looked around the her new surroundings carefully. There was a reasoning for her being here, a reasoning for her awakening...But the reasoning for this still was foggy to L. Most of L's surroundings were foggy in general... Reaching her hand out in front of her, L allowed the laughter she once heard, the beauty of the birds chirping, the true sounds of life to fill her mind. As the thoughts began swarming her, a small orb began swirling within her palm. It started out no larger than a nickle, but within seconds of gathering energy, it grew into the size of her palm. The energy lingered there for several seconds, each strand of light dancing and blending with its neighboring strand. It was time for them to know she was here. Looking up into the darkening night sky, L released the orb and its brilliant energy into the darkness. At first it merely took the appearance of a shooting star, dancing within the corruption of the lingering darkness. But as it slowed to a stop, it released a brilliant explosion into the night air, lighting up a majority of the night sky. The explosion was blinding at first, but soon clustered back into one solid energy, a most brilliant star within the night sky. The Sparkle of Hope.
The star lingered in the night air, dancing among the other twinkling stars. The foggy clouds that once flooded the night sky began disappeared, fleeing from the intensity of the brilliant beams. Pressing her lips together for a moment, L redirected her eyes now at the path before her. There was still much work to be done in this little town of demons, but there were minor details that had to be handled first. Details such as..Who ran this island? Who tip toed on the balance of light and darkness....And more importantly, where was the child of rebirth and death. Pressing her bare toes against the pavement, L embraced the naturally chilly nature of the stones. With each step just as careful as the last, L began exploring this small town of sins.
