Apsenniel simply stared at Luca as he gripped her arms, her lips pressed together firmly and her eyes narrowed. For the moment, Ape remained stoic and simply listened to the going-ons around her. Luca claimed that all three of them were revived from death. She slowly turned her head, giving a stern look to the woman handing out threats like candy. Clearly, this woman knew everyone who was now present on the beach. Her speech and demeanor matched Reast's to a Tee.
Apsenniel almost didn't notice Erebus approach her, but it was difficult to mistake the feeling she had when he was near for anyone else. She would always know when he was there, and Ape took immediate comfort in his arms once they closed around her waist. An unbreakable wall between her and the mess in front of them. Sighing, Apsenniel calmly listened to the words being spoke into her ear, still keeping herself collected as he withdrew from her and armed himself.
Erebus wouldn't lie to her. However, that didn't mean he wouldn't be keeping things from her. He and Nyx would have known if their souls hadn't moved on - and he should have told her. Maybe then Apsenniel could have searched for them.. have helped them get back sooner.. have kept their bodies suitable for them to return to. Stepping up next to Erebus, Apsenniel threw him a thinly veiled glare. He would know exactly why she was upset with him.
As the conversations around the group began to slow, Quinn and the.. New Lucee? suddenly reappeared. Matteo and Quinn both spoke, then took their respective partners a bit away, all of them appearing ready to go their separate ways once more. Looking at the woman with them now, so grown up, so different from Lucee, and yet so similar, Apsenniel wasn't sure what exactly she had expected. In reality, she shouldn't have had to expect anything like this occurring. Then again, when did the Immortals or Promised Island ever go along with the Fate's design?
Hesitantly, Apsenniel opened her mouth to give a proper greeting to her old friends, who she had been missing for so long, but all that escaped her was a frightened question - as if speaking directly to them would cause them to disappear. "Reast? Lucee?"
