The forever young, Seelie court fae children ran through the Forest of Nymphelium. The leaves on the trees shimmered in the sun, silvers, golds, bronze, all of the colors of metals. They each had a set of keys attached to a giant ring strapped to them. The girl's around her neck, the boy's on his pants loop. The boy had less keys than the girl, but only by a few and they looked at each other in wonder. They both reached for their favorite key and stuck it into the air, turning the key and in a burst of energy, before them stood two Zodiac beings. The girl had summoned a small, fragile lamb, standing on two legs with all of the traits of a human and less than those of a lamb. She had white, puffy hair to her shoulders and a perfectly made white dress that came to her knees. This was Aries. Before the boy stood something just as amazing, a Lion who much like Aries, was more of a human than a lion. He stood tall, in a black suit with orangish-red, spiky hair. A clean cut face and stunning green eyes. This was Leo. As the two Zodiacs laid eyes upon each other they smiled and granted each other with a warm hug which led to a quick kiss. The two were as much in love as any and it was known that the Lion had fallen in love with the lamb.
Roughly ten years have passed since that day as Celeste and Stello made their way back to the forest in which their two favorite Zodiac beings had fallen in love with each other, making it known that the two fae children were meant to spend eternity with each other. They were not siblings whether it be by blood or by marriage, but they had grown up together like siblings. The two were always meant to marry and take their role as King and Queen of the Seelie Court. The date had been set, it would be one week from the day. One week from the day, Celeste would be granted her wings along with Stello, her soon to be king. Her soon to be husband. She truly did love him and everything about him. They would turn 16 in one week and marry the same day. The two would live their lives out together for eternity, at least that is what Celeste had thought.
As they made their way through the forest, their favorite place in the realm, something happened. Something bad. A tribe of Troll had attacked them out of nowhere, Leo and Aries did what they could to protect the children, but each of them only had enough power to summon one Zodiac being at the same time. They were still young, still in training. The troll had eventually overpowered them and the cannibalistic beasts feasted upon Stello's body in front of Celeste. Her eyes grew wide in terror and she let out a blood-curdling scream. As she did, her eyes lit up a to a golden hue and her magic power expanded out from her, the stars had aligned, granting her all of the powers of the Seelie and UnSeelie fae, she had been chosen and because of this, the Troll would pay for their treachery. She had stars in her eyes, her body took on a white glow, making her transparent, wings grew from her back, they were translucent green, blue, purple, shimmering in the air. Celeste had been cast as Queen a week prior due to the circumstances and as she cast her gaze upon the horde of troll, they began burning , erupting in massive amounts of explosions. Each more beautiful than the last. The stars had exploded from them, glimmering in the dark night of the forest. Tears ran down her face and she couldn't help but fall to her knees, her long, curly black hair falling around her face, "I...hate you..".
Celeste let her wings carry her the rest of the way home, and once she returned, she explained the news of what had happened in the Forest of Nymphelium. She told the story over and over to every person who had asked, she relived the terror over and over until she could no longer take it. She locked herself in her chambers, the silvers and blues that made up her room soon turned to greys and black. The colors changing with Celeste's emotions. So much had happened in such a short time. She had her love taken from her and she would forever live to retell the story that had changed her as a person.
A week from the day, they day she had turned 16, the day she was meant to marry, the day she was meant to take her place as Queen. She shook her head and opened her window, letting her wings carry her back to the forest. She had to make sure he wasn't still there, and that like all fae, he had turned to nature, turned to something as beautiful as Stello had been. His golden hair, his perfect jaw, his golden eyes. Stello was perfect in every sense of the word for Celeste and tears slowly made themselves down her face once more when she saw it. The perfectly golden sapling. The bark on the tree was glimmering in the lights of the forest as star fruit of all colors hung on the low branches. Though it was still a sapling, the energy that Stello had must have flown through the tree, forcing it to bare fruits sooner opposed to later. She smiled softly, knowing that her King would forever have a place in this forest, their favorite forest even though it had now become a place of terror for her. What would cause even more terror for her, would be knowing that she had been being watched since she entered the forest. The boy stood silently, watching and then, he decided to make his presence known and he rustled the leaves around him.
As she kneeled down on the ground she heard a rustle of the leaves behind her and she turned to see a boy about her age, standing watching her. He smiled softly and Celeste's eyes widened, the golden colored eyes that she had lost herself in so many times before stood before her, but in the body of another. She ran to him and took hold of him, burying her face deep into the boy's chest,"Stello..Stello it's you. I know it's you. I'd know those eyes anywhere!" She sobbed harder and harder as the boy took her within his arms. His eyes changed now back to their normal blue-green color and he rested his head upon the girls and closed his eyes, allowing Stello to speak, "Celeste, I have been given a second chance and because of that, we must hide. We cannot go back to the Seelie Court. It is dangerous there for this boy, he is not of our race, he is not a child of the fae and he will be killed. You know that I'm not capable of lying, so please take my word on this." Celeste looked up at the boy, wiping the tears from her eyes and nodded, "Then we leave..we run far away from this place and return to wherever the boy is from!" She took his hand and the two took off running, they had to run, had to leave. She refused to lose Stello again.
