Ian walked into the large library, it had seemed that this was the only building that had actually stood tall through all of the shambles that had been cast over the island. Sure, it was coming together once more due to all of the new work being done. The island was being rebuilt, but this library, it was special. It read Ghost Library on the sign outside, maybe it was actually a library forged by ghosts so it couldn't be destroyed? Ian wasn't sure but he was, in a way happy that an original building stood on the island. It gave him a wonderful feeling to know that something so old, so beautiful could stand for so long and still hold it's beauty. He looked behind him to see Claire and couldn't help but smile, she would age swimmingly. She would remind him of this library in the future, old and beautiful. He smiled and whispered, "But I don't want to settle for good not great. I miss the way that it felt back then I wanna feel that way again" He melted into himself, falling more and more in love with Claire. He was glad that they finally had time together.
He made his way to the top of the white marbled stairs and looked down at her, holding out his hand with a smile. Once she got to the top of the stairs, he bit his lip and then looked to the ground. It was so quiet in here, and it was so perfect for what he was about to do. He just hoped that he didn't look as awkward as he was about to feel by doing this. He kneeled down, the long sleeve black t-shirt crumpling a bit as he did, only making him feel like a wrinkled mess and like this wasn't the right time to do this. He shook his head and looked up at her as he kneeled on one knee and smiled at her, Oh baby remind me. The song continued to play over and over again in his head, the duet between the two singers working in and out of each other perfectly. He reached into the back pocket of his jeans and pulled out a thin, white box with a dull pink bow tied on by white pearls and he handed it to her, biting his lip nervously. Once she opened it, he looked up at her, his eyes shining brightly, the blue of them glistening in the lights from the library, he smiled, "Claire, will you marry me?"
