There was a time, far from our own, when everything was exactly what it seemed. At least that is what the world thought. Electricity danced across the shaded clouds as three young girl dashed across the untainted sand. Giggles chiming into the air as they raced to the boats tired up at the docks. Boats. The mere concept was still such a new design that the entire island spread with rumors about the possibility of seeing a boat in person. This was home. There weren't many located on this island, but those who did reside here saw one another as family. When tragedy hit, they were all here to lean on. And when something new came about, it was only typical for the entire island to be talking about it. As their feet shuffled over the aging boards that made up the dock, the three girls approached the tall structured boat. The three stood there, wide eyed as first as the boat let out a gentle creak. Focusing their eyes on the water below, the three girls scooted slightly closer to the edge. The waves smashed up on the docks. As the water splashed against the three girls, their squeals and laughter filled the air. Fleeing back slightly, they wiped themselves of and looked between each other before scooting closer once more. It was a sturdy boat, but even it struggled against Poseidon great waves.
One of the young girls stepped forwards, getting even closer to the boat. Her curly blond locks spiraling around her carefully molded face. Looking up at the boat in a determined manner, she reached her hand out. Barely being able to reached the boards that held the boat together, she ran her fingers over it slowly until stumbling across the carvings. Looking over the word carved into the boat, the young girl seemed to struggle to make out what it said. Mumbling carefully to herself, the young girl stumbled over her own words. This was going to be harder to decode than she previously had expected. Giving a disappointed frown, she stepped back and turned around to look back at the other two young girl who had been observing from behind. The two girls who had been watching looked at one another for but a moment before one stepped forward. Keeping her head hung low, the young girl took several steps ahead of the blond girl. Her red hair brushed carefully against her cheek as the wind rattled off the ocean. Raising her head, the young girl quickly rose to her tip toes. Pressing her weight into her toes, she reached her hand out to barely brush against the boat. It took but several seconds for the girl to decipher what was written.
Things stood still. Falling backwards, the red headed girls hands barely caught her fall. Still keeping her eyes focused on the writing, her eyes grew wide. She was trying to speak, yet nothing would escape her trembling lips. "What is it!" The blonde haired girl demanded. The final child, one with shoulder length black hair and a slim figure now approached the boat. Smirking faintly, she didn't even attempt to reach out, instead she first helped the fallen girl up. Looking back to the text, she spoke clearly. "Perish. It say's Perish." Her words rung in the air for several seconds...The silence afterwards was brief. The wood beneath their bodies groaned until giving out from under them. Crashing through the wood, the three girls screamed in their final seconds. Smashing into the water, the three girls struggled against the water that was swallowing them whole. Slashing their hands in the water, thy could feel their bodies grow cold as the water kept carrying them deeper and deeper.
Looking up to where the surface once was, it seemed that the light was fading. Farther and farther they sunk, the water beginning to fill their lungs...What would become of them..
