Vanya had chickened out on the way to the meeting room, and didn't follow Erebus and Nyx the entire way. She'd stopped and hidden for a while, until the voices quieted and most of the Immortals had passed. She didn't think walking in on a war meeting, when she'd come to challenge them, was such a great idea after all. In fact, she was beginning to doubt her entire trip to this crazy island. Though, some of these people had known her mother.. And she felt closer to her now than she ever had before. Once she'd emerged from her hiding place, a pair of twins were passing by, one of them injured through. Her hands were burnt to a crisp, which Vanya didn't bother asking why. She offered the woman up a deal, allowing her to feed in exchange for healing her.
After that ordeal, Vanya finally felt like herself, and the red glow washed away from her eyes. She peered into the meeting room, spotting only a child there. "Hello," She began hesitantly. "Why aren't you going with the others?" Perhaps this girl wasn't fully capable of her abilities yet, or maybe she had none to show. The group seemed very interesting, and she'd seen all sorts of character in the few she'd met. Vanya stepped into the meeting room then, looking at the projected images on the wall. It looked like there were teams for the different regions, made up of the Immortals members. She scanned the list, and happily, didn't spot her own name. Though, she curiously eyed Erebus and Nyx on a team with a Rion, Matteo, and an Ape. These people had quite interesting names, especiallly Rion and Ape.
Of course, Vanya couldn't judge, since her name was no walk in the park, either. Vanya. Strong. It was what her mother had wanted her to be; Strong. Just has her grandmother had named her daughter Apsenniel, so she would be forgiving. Perhaps that was where her own name came from. Being able to forgive meant you had to be strong. She wondered if her mother hadn't been able to forgive someone, and that's how Vanya had ended up with her own name.. Pulling herself back to the present, Vanya turned to the child, and ushered her to follow Vanya back to the inside entrance. "Let's go get closer to the entrance. I'm a healer, and I could best be used there, if anyone comes back injured. You can help me, if you'd like."
