Jeremy shook his head at Aquila's remarks. He barely knew this Anastasiya woman, but she was incredible. Her energies were so well aligned, and his Catalyst abilities begged to reach out to her. Jeremy had never felt anything like it before, and it was a strange feeling. He simply nodded to her request to discuss her story another time. "Of course, it's been a long night, after all. In fact, I'm sure we can find a place for you and your friends to stay with us for a while." Especially after the whole Hunter base fiasco the blonde and other guy had pulled off, they'd probably need to be in hiding for the time being. Hunters were ruthless, and Jeremy himself was surprised the Midnight Facade didn't get more attention from them, seeing as so many of their members were anything but inconspicuous. At this thought, he gave a strange look to Tye and Scarlett, then Kendrick, who had been helping Claire and Ian. They were all family, nonetheless.

Anastasiya glanced over at the two party animals, not including the bear and the bird, and shook her head. Frowning to Jeremy she bit her lip and handed him the crown, she blushed a little before she looked up at him, "I don't mean to be rude... I know we're guests, you've been more than welcoming... don't get me wrong but..." she let out a sigh and looked to her feet before continuing, "This kind of thing, well it's not really my kind of scene. I just hate to ask, but perhaps we can step outside somewhere quieter." She hated how awkward she felt right now, normally words came much easier to her, shed had enough practice at her old university, but for some reason this man just baffled her. She looked back up at him, chuckling to herself feeling even more embarrassed as she caught his eyes on her. He certainly must think I'm crazy. She bit her lip again and then turned to walk out, hoping she hadn't said anything to push him away. She gently pushed the curtain back but stopped and reached her hand for his, after the fact she wasn't sure why she had grabbed this strangers hand, but something about his hands just felt right in hers. Deciding not to care she took hold of his hand in hers, lacing hers with his and gently tugged him outside. She would just be herself and see where it took her, she already knew where her hopes lay, but for now she would hide them to see if he would follow.

Carefully running her fingers through his hair, Rowan looked down at Chev for several seconds before looking around once more. Everyone seemed so occupied, like they always did. It was much like the Immortals only...A little different. Even Rowan knew it wouldn't be long till a war would come there way, and when that time came, they would have to reunite with the Immortals and fight for their life. This place seemed like a safe haven for super naturals, which only made it all the more dangerous...These carny's would soon be discovered too unless something was done about these hunters. Pushing her chair back, Rowan stood up and walked out of the tent. Of course, in an opposite direction of where Jeremy and Annie had just exited. Roaming the grounds of the carnival, Rowan let out a soft sigh. Chev remained close as her side as they explored what could be a safe place. But, the key word here was could. Allowing the cold, night air to barely brush against her skin, Rowan folded her arms slightly in front of her. Would there ever be a place where would feel like home. Looking down as Chev, Rowan smirked faintly as she patted his head. "One day Chev" Looking up at the moon, Row smiled at a familiar sight. No matter how strange things were...the moon would always be there. "One day."

Kole has been watching as everyone seemed to go off and do their own things. They really never got time to be much of a family anymore."Figures." Kole sighed to himself as he disappeared from the room. Using his abilities to jump back to the stage, Kole began organizing items they would need if they decided to do another show in this town. Yet, seeing as they had taken in some wanted figures of the area, Kole knew they would probably be moving once again very soon. Maybe tomorrow they could move back to the states. Shrugging the thoughts off, Kole began cleaning and packing up what would need to be moved for the next show.
Using his knee as support to stand, Kendrick watched Ian and Claire. His leg looked good as new now, which meat there really was no need for the pile of metal anymore..But he figured that could be sorted with later. Looking back at where Scarlett had went, Kendrick paused for a second as he watched her and Tye. Typical. Turning his body completely to watch the two, Kendrick crossed his arms in front of him. He never really did get a break, and this is what he got for trying to help someone... Scarlett meant the world...and perhaps more than that to Kendrick. But he hadn't entirely found the way to express those feelings. The two had grown up to be wreckless, and unsettled by the words of commitment. Yet, Kendrick felt himself longing for this woman day after day. Narrowing his eye slightly, Kendrick approached where the two were dancing. Stepping behind Scarlett when the two had paused, Kendrick leaned his head over her shoulder and used of his hands to take her hand. Spinning her around to face him instead of Tye. Watching her face for several seconds, Kendrick smiled before speaking. "Trying to make me jealous are we?"
Bringing his arm behind her, and keeping the other one held tight,Kendrick began carefully leading Scarlett to dance with him. She was fantastic. An absolutely beautiful woman, and most of the time, Kedrick knew she deserved better. To one day keep this woman, Kendrick knew he would have to step up, but when the time came, would it be too late? Leaning in closer, Kendrick left merely inches from his face and hers. He let the sensation of how close they were to each other sink in before he spoke in a whispers. "Well it worked." As he spoke he looked down. Looking her over for several seconds before finally bringing his gaze back up her face. Still flawless. In fact, when wasn't she flawless? Leaning in once more, Kendrick kept his eyes focused on her this time as he spoke. "Let me show you what the world has to offer."
Scarlett wasn't usually one to regret her choices, especially with alcohol coursing through her veins, but something about her encounter with Tye felt wrong. Typically a night with Tye was incredibly fun, the opportunities were boundless, and Tye certainly was like a wild animal when it came to the closing party but tonight, Scarlett just wasn't feeling it. She appreciated his understanding however and followed his suggestions, trying not to glance back at Kendrick too often to raise his suspicions. However when Tye mentioned her being able to do better she frowned, "He's not a prick... he just... I don't know.." Scarlett continued to dance with Tye, ignoring the bottle for once, there was a great deal on her mind, "Sometimes I tell myself I should hope for more out of our little... relationship, and then sometimes I tell myself I should stop hoping."
She let out a short sigh, Tye wouldn't understand, she was being silly for even saying such things to him. Usually those kinds of thoughts were reserved for those late night drinks she had when the loneliness crept in on her. Pulling her from her thoughts, Kendrick startled Scarlett at first, quickly putting herself together again Scarlett gave him a brilliant smirk. Her teases had worked marvelously, along with all that "charm" she'd inherited from her mother.
She felt overcome with emotions, and wasn't sure how to react with him. They had tried to discuss something more serious before, but that only seemed to make things more complicated than necessary so the conversations were typically overturned by more entertaining activities. Doing her best to mask her emotions Scarlett raised an eyebrow at Kendrick's claim, "Am I just to assume that this is another one of your blank promises?" She quickly bit her lip, wishing she hadn't said anything. Maybe she wasn't the best at hiding her emotions after all. Hopefully Kendrick had enough alcohol in him that her words would be forgotten.

Tye smirked as Scarlett talked, she was actually in love with this guy. He put her down at the end of their dance and grabbed her shoulders, "On a serious note, if you love him, don't let him get away from you." He looked her in the eyes with a soft smile on his face. He and Scarlett had a past, but the two were friends. They may not have always acted like it, but, they were closer than many people had thought. He saw Kendrick coming over to them and he smiled and pushed Scarlett into him and then made his way off of the dance floor, flinging his red jacket over his shoulder with a proud smile on his face. He was actually feeling rather tired. It had been a long day for him, and so, he moved back towards his trailer after grabbing a glass of spiked punch from the table, jungle juice was always his favorite. He stood on the bottom step leading into his trailer and nodded with a smile, "Where will fate take us next?"

Claire frowned as Ian took several gulps of the alcohol, immediately coughing it up. That couldn't be good for him, even with this rapid-healer's blood in his system. As Claire was about to turn and give her thanks to Kendrick, Ian was speaking and then his lips covered hers. Her world stopped for a moment, just before she suddenly leaned back, mostly surprised at the sudden display of affection. Time for their group as a whole had been slow and rushed all at once, and Claire couldn't even add up how many days they'd actually been traveling together. She realized, she didn't particularly care, either. A smile spread across her cheeks then, the heat rising there to match the red in Ian's ears. "And what, you needed to alcohol to pull it off?"
Post by Ian Roland on Feb 16, 2016 22:17:14 GMT -5
Ian smiled and eyed her, biting his lip softly, "No, but I'm going to need alcohol to do what's next." He picked her up, his leg felt brand new, and his love for Claire was bursting at the seams. He took her hand and pulled her back out onto the stage. He looked up at at where the lights were and then left Claire standing there, ran up to the lights and messed with buttons until the spotlight was shining directly on her. He made his way back down to her, standing in the spotlight and smiled. He played with her fingers a bit before entwining them with his. He looked her in the eyes, his eyes, a blue-green like the ocean, watching her closely with his awkward smile, "I've never thought that I could live a day without my siblings, but, the second I met you, I knew that as long as you were by my side, that I could be without them. I'll always love them, and need them, but, as long as I have you..." he stopped and looked at her with a soft smile, unsure as to where he was going with this, but he continues anyways after taking another sip, this time from a flask that he took from a table and slid into his back pocket, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. And even if you say no, I'll track you like i've tracked thousands of other supernaturals and i'll never leave you alone until you finally love me too."

Jeremy gently took back the crown, setting it in the center of the table. Kole could return it later, if Anastasiya truly didn't want the item. He couldn't help but give a small smile as the woman became tongue-tied, trying to explain herself. It was strange, how attracted he was to the woman. Jeremy seemed to notice everything about her. How uncomfortable she was, the way she wouldn't look him in the eye, then how she would look back up and laugh nervously. The way she bit her lip was almost mesmerizing, and he watched as she made her way to the edge of the tent, allowing her to take his hand and lead him out. He squeezed her hand in a reassuring manner, leading her further away from the big-top and towards some of the now-empty booths that patrons could visit before and after the show.
He removed his hand from hers, sliding them into his pockets. The urge to catalyze her abilities grew immensely with the physical contact, and if he continued holding her hand he wouldn't be able to help himself. "I.." He began, then cleared his throat. "May I ask what abilities you have?" Best to find out now than by accidentally setting them off. He leaned back against the counter of one of the empty booths, simply watching as he waited for her response.

She waited until she was certain there were no prying ears around to hear her. Her heart pounded through her chest and she couldn't contain her excitement as it pushed its way out onto her cheeks leaving them a rosy pink. As his hand slipped from hers she instantly missed the moment she had with him. Struggling to find the words she simply went with the first ones that came to her lips, "I... I don't know... I can't explain why..." She motioned between herself and him still stuttering, "I can't explain why I'm about to tell you this, I've never told a single soul... and it's been almost a hundred... but there's something about you and I can't hold that back..." She bit her tongue, watching him as he stood there so casually, while seemingly enough she was about to reveal her entire world to him. How could she trust this stranger, simply based on some strange attraction she felt towards him? The last person she had trusted, although not with her true secret only her abilities, her entire lifestyle was shattered. How was it that after only just meeting this man she was so willing to tell him the one thing she kept to herself...
She bit her lip again, this time more flustered and confused than before. She could feel her stomach tearing itself to pieces over what she wanted to tell Jeremy. She couldn't read him though, he was so calm and collected, yet every time she had pulled away he had found a way to stun her. She took a deep breath, in through her nose and held it for a moment before blowing the steam out of her mouth, "Let's start with the simple answer to that question, I'm a dream walker..." Be it the hopeless romantic in her to cloud her judgement, or her tiring of hiding in lies she looked him dead in the eyes her own wide with nerves and fear, "My name... is Anastasiya Nikolayevna Romanova... daughter of Nikolai Alexandrvich Romanov... Grand Duchess of Russia."
She looked down at her feet and shrugged her shoulders, there it was, she said it. After nearly a hundred years in hiding, and running, finally disobeying her dying mothers advice... All emotion drained from her cheeks, her cheery nervousness left her with regret, yet at the same time she felt lighter having told him. She took a few steps away from him and slipped her thumbs in her belt loops waiting for a response in what felt like the time it had taken her to tell anyone, "Jeremy..." it felt so nice to say his name, through this entire "thing" Annie couldn't deny the connection she felt with him and something just felt right about this. A soft grin rose to her cheeks once more, "Jeremy please... no one knows. You're the only one..."

While Kole went off to his trailer for a good nights rest, Kendrick kept his eyes focused on Scarlett. She was actually making him work tonight. Well...It wasn't only that, but they were actually having a moment. Leaning in forwards slightly, Kendrick paused, his lips lingering only inches from hers. At first, he said nothing, her merely let the air settle around them as tensions rose. Closing his eyes for a moment, he tipped his head slightly and softly whispered in her ear. "But Empty Promises are the best." Pulling away slightly for a seconds, Kendrick spun her in a twirl before catching her hands back in his own. "Because anything can come from an empty promise my dear." Chuckling softly, Kendrick picked up his step slightly. The music took hold of their soul as the world around them evaporated. Nothing else mattered but this woman, nothing else in the room was visible but her. "Here, let's start over." Smiling in his typical cocky manner, Kendrick continued dancing.
At this point Kendrick had forgotten they were even on a cheap carnival dance floor, or that they were carnies themselves. The world around them didn't even seem to matter at this point, only the moment before them. Keeping his eyes focused on her, Kendrick grinned slightly. "You know, you're quite the dancer."
Scarlett held her breath as Kendrick came close to her, staring right into his eyes. She could see he meant what he said, but it was hard to believe it would ever amount to anything. The had their moments, those times late at night when they would lie next to each other and contemplate life outside of the carnival. All too often they'd joke about a cozy little house on a hill with a white picket fence somewhere nestled in country side of whatever town they were visiting. And even though Scarlett knew the jokes were far from what she or he really dreamt of, but in the least there was hope of a future together. But that was just it, they were jokes, empty promises of something that would never happen.
"Oh yea? Well coming from your mouth, you make empty promises sound so nice." She chuckled and rolled her eyes before letting the music take hold of two, their motions smooth and careless, oblivious to those around them. She'd be lying to the both of them if she said Kendrick didn't make her swoon every time he smiled. Deciding to go with the illusion and live blissfully in empty promises Scarlett leaned in to kiss his cheek and whispered in his ear, "You're not so bad yourself."
Things had been unfolding in an un-natural way for the carnies. After shows usually consisted of drinking till someone fell asleep across the table, arguments that turned into never ending rounds of shots, and someone ending up injured by the end of the night. But tonight consisted of little arrows of that damned cupid shooting off everywhere. Scrunching up her nose slightly, Bow made a disgusted face as she watched everyone magically fall in love. This form of party just wasn't going to do. At least not for a Trickster. Leaning her head back, Bow finished the entire bottle of Jack that she had in her hand, before smashing the bottle on the table. As the glass made contact with the table, the glass sprung out, shattering in a million different directions. Seconds before the glass could make contact with the floor, it pause in midair. Barely levitating above the floor for several seconds, the glass the shot up into the air, exploding like fireworks would. Loud enough to throw off any vibes going on in a 5 mile radius. That should take care of Kendrick and Scarlett for starters. Picking up her bat and swinging it up to rest back upon her shoulder, Bow made her way outside.
Focusing her eyes on Jeremy and the new little princess, Bow kept an almost smug look upon her face. Snapping the fingers of her spare hand, Bow watched as the clouds began to thicken...Slowly the wind began picking up. It would seem as though a storm was quickly approaching, especially for anyone who didn't know Bow. "How about both you love mutts cool off." Bow turned around and made her way inside just as the precipitation began coming in a downpour. "Damned misfits thinking this is some kind of speed dating service. These freaks must have some real built up tension." Shaking her head, a small smile grew upon her lips as she entered the room with the stage. Bow paused for several seconds, as she watched the two love sick puppies. Oh how pathetic this kind of love was. The moment when you thought butterflies filled your stomach, and all your dreams have come true. Truly a sickness it was. Placing her bat down, Bow leaned it against a chair as she took a seat herself. The chair was about six rows back and nine seats in. Her favorite numbers. Sitting back in her seat, Bow made both of her fingers into an L shape using her pointing fingers in thumb. Raising them in front of her to touch, she closed one eye and put the now box shape in front of one eye. It was as though she was making sure her seating preference would be perfect for the show that was about to start. Dropping her hands she smiled widely and laughed. Then all in one motion of her flicking her hair, the room shifted.
It was no longer in the image of a carnie stage, but much rather, was now a wedding ceremony room. Flowers covering the walk way and the two individuals no longer in their every day clothes. They were dressed in a tux, and flowing dress. The room no longer even resembled what once was a performance region. The woman had appeared now down the isle way, and the man standing what seemed to be an alter with another older figure dressed in holy gowns. They wanted to be lovey dovey, Fine, she would show them lovey dovey. "Let the show begin!" Bow exclaimed as she laughed once more before leaning back in her chair.

Liam was still browsing through the site when a new notification popped up. The first comment had seemed strange to him, but now, the second was alarming. The first time, it just said "we know", but now, a new comment was made, "And we're coming." Liam's eyes widened and he looked at Aquila and started yelling as best he could when she ignored his internal speech. Being that he was deaf, his voice was off, and most words didn't really sound legible. It got Aquila's attention though. She looked over and her eyes widened, "That comment... it couldn't be.." Aquila tore off, wings flapping into the ruckus that was normally a party, but instead, it seemed like it had turned into chaos, and a wedding. Aquila was all types of confused and Liam came out after, he was worried, and Aquila found Kendrick first. As much as she didn't care for the stuck up man, he had the loudest mouth and would be able to get everyone's attention.
She took to the sky to find him faster and once she did, she swooped down and landed in front of him, "Mr. Kendrick, The hunters..they're coming! They commented on out page! They're coming!" It was all that she could muster before Liam came running behind her, he tried his hardest for them to all hear him correctly, but, he wasn't sure if it was coming out properly. He closed his eyes as tight as he could and spoke slowly, trying his hardest, "Th...they..not...here...Im...Immortals.." He wasn't sure if they would understand, and so, he looked at Aquila with pleading eyes, and she opened their telepathic link once more and then nodded, "Correction, the hunters are not coming here. Liam thinks they're gonna attack the big bad Immortals we've all heard about!"
Post by Reast Istoría Vu on Feb 21, 2016 11:25:46 GMT -5
It had been mere seconds since Reast had disappeared from the Immortals Island, and had reappeared back in Europe. She continued in step like she had never teleported, making her way towards what seemed to be a Big Top of a Carnival. The radar had shown that this was where she would be able to find Ian, Claire and Rowan. Instead of entering through the front, Reast shadow stepped towards the back room. Here there was a woman, two men, and a bird...Seemed like the perfect set up for a joke. Reast listened first to the conversation, and decided not to step in till she heard the bird mention the Immortals. Taking a step forward so she could now be seen, Reasts' eye were flickering in color. Back and forth between their natural coloring and gray. She was in control but she knew her visit her would have to be brief, too much had to be done. Looking between the new faces Reast remained completely composed as she spoke. "You are correct. The Immortals are in danger. Which precisely the reason I am looking for Rowan, Claire and Ian." Reast kept her words brief, and to the point. She didn't know these individuals, but she felt pretty confident that if they did try turning on her that she could take them. Especially in her current state of mind, a fight probably would be half bad of an idea. Her wet hair, stuck to the side of her face but it didn't seemed to impact her ability of keeping focused on the task at hand. The war of the century was in the beginning phases, and it wouldn't be long now...Everything would soon begin.
Then she caught a scent. Looking around slightly, Reast narrowed her eyes ever to slightly. There was a demon like race around here...There was no misidentifying that scent. They had a way of finding each other, especially creatures of darkness. They grew stronger around one another, despite their common miscommunication in power. After looking around for several seconds, Reast returned her glance towards the individuals in front of her. This wasn't your typical carnival...that much was clear.
