She sat back in her seat dazed after the events that had just unfolded. Avoiding the inevitable stares from her comrades, Annie focused her gaze on the closing of the show. She might have actually found this closing act to be quite interesting had her mind not been in other places. Immediately after the show had ended, Anastasiya rose to her feet and started to walk back stage, simply letting her friends know she had to speak with someone about the act she was volunteered for. Reaching for the curtain to go backstage, she heard the clown woman walk out, startling her half to death. Assuming she was doing something wrong Annie froze dead in her tracks. However it turned out the woman was simply offering them an invitation to the party backstage. She wondered if it was obvious that they were supernatural, considering they were the only ones concerned with staying after all the "illusions" were put to rest. Perhaps that's how they got their acts, picking up the lost and adopting them into their family, city by city, show by show.
Nevertheless, Jeremy would hopefully be waiting for her, so Annie pushed the curtain back and slipped backstage. Glancing around at the various carnies, she took note of the several bottles of alcohol being passed around and someone walking over to start the music. They were celebrating another successful show, as they should, but... Jeremy wasn't anywhere to be found. Frowning to herself, Annie began to wonder if Jeremy said nice things to pretty girls on stage to make them feel special. One of those guys that invited those pretty girls backstage for a one and done kind of thing. Shaking her head and letting out a sigh, she was crazy for thinking he was even slightly interested in her. She had made it too easy, staring up at him all doe eyed and love struck. They probably didn't even know she truly was who she was, the crown was simply a joke on her name. Biting her lip she took one last glance around the room before tossing the crown on a nearby chair and turning to leave the party. She didn't belong here.
