Setting her suitcases down, Mitzi dropped her back onto her bed causing an array of dust to cloud up around her. The room smelled of abandonment, as if Mitzi had been the first person to enter- though the folded sheets said otherwise. Sitting on the bed she examined the room. A bathroom to the right, one oak dresser, and a single hanging light completed the room. The room wasn't homey but it was a home.
Alyana Parish walked briskly through what looked like an abandoned hallway. Of course she would be the one to get a letter telling her that the Immortals were back on their island, and no one would be there. It had been ten years since she'd been stranded on Promise Island, and in that time Hunters had taken over. Of course it was easy for Aly to make an escape, since she just had to illusion herself as a Hunter and get out on departing ships. Frowning, she crumpled up the crisp invitation and threw it on the floor. Then, she laughed. Of course, the irony. The con artist was being conned. Or, at least Aly thought until she heard shuffling from a closed door. Turning to face the door, she walked over and gently kicked the bottom in place of knocking while placing her hands on her hips. Who else was here? It couldn't be Reast, though Aly knew she was the Immortals Leader. It was her who showed her Promise Island. Shrugging to herself, Aly waited to see if the island's mystery guest would come out.

Folding clothes onto the bed, a bang came from the door startling Mitzi to her feet. Ambling to the sound she reached out to the door. As the door ominously creaked open Mitzi skeptically expected some serial killer, or a unsettling old man hostile over some sound she was making. Tilting her head she examined the stranger: a woman, bouncy blonde hair and blue eyed, suspiciously normal. Mitzi tilted her head further when she uttered a "Hello" to the woman, her voice raising at the end causing the statement to turn into a question. "I'm Mitzi. Mitzi Vallis. I'm new here. Just arrived this morning. Looking for you guys for many years, it's a pleasure to know this is all real. I'm from France. I uh..." she trailed off after rambling as if for a job interview. Abruptly she put her right arm out to shake the woman's hand.
Aly patiently listened while the woman babbled about herself, but politely shook her hand back. "Aly." She made her introduction simple, stepping back into the hallway a bit. No need to intrude on Mitzi's space. Frowning, Alyana turned in a circle, peering both directions down the long hall. "Any idea if anyone else is home?" Alyana had just gotten to island, but apparently so did this woman. She knew the first few rooms of the underground island didn't have any residents, as that had been the first place she'd checked. However, Aly had no desire to go further. The island was dark, dusty, and several rooms had been filled with what looked like Hunter's papers and the like. "I guess not, or someone would have tried to kill us by now," She answered her own question, crossing her arms and turning back to face Mitzi. "Sorry to burst your bubble, though. I'm not exactly an Immortal. I just got the invite to come to the island. I was on Promised Island when all hell broke loose."

Leaning against the door, Mitzi exclaimed her situation. "Honestly I don't think I'm an Immortal either...I was just offered a home. I'm not sure they trust me yet. Though, there's no reason not to trust me" She quickly added trying to sound genuine.
"I've only heards of Promise Island. It was the original Immortal Island to my understanding? What happened...?" She pried.

Catherine was afraid. She had been running from the same people, time and time again. She wasn't sure when it was going to end. Everyone she thought had her back, suddenly distanced themselves from her as they discovered who she really was. Since that day, the Caligraphia began to seek out others like her. A year after she was cast away, she heard word of those the group that called themselves the Immortals, and she became interested. So she went looking for them. At the moment, however, she was running from them again. She was fast, but was she fast enough to get far enough away to draw herself an escape route?
Taking a quick look behind her, Catherine realized she was a good distance away. She took the next right turn into an empty alleyway and took out the marker she kept in her front pocket. Cat quickly drew a rectangular shape on the building to the left of her, turning the object into a door. She opened the door and stepped through, disappearing for a moment before finally appearing in a long corridor. Her breath caught in her through as she took a few steps forward, the door disappearing behind her. What was this place?
The girl kept walking through the abandoned hallway with curiousity. Was it really abandoned? Did someone live here? It didn't matter - if someone lived here, maybe they could help her. Or, if it was an enemy, they would kill her. Either or, Catherine really had nothing to lose.
She paused next to a door when she heard voices inside. She didn't know if she should enter, or run away. Were these people she could trust, or enemies? Cat wasn't sure, so she stood frozen in place. Maybe they would just notice her; maybe they'd be friendly. Or...maybe they'd kill her. Again, Catherine really didn't have anything to lose.
Aly shrugged, studying Mitzi for a moment. "Honestly, I don't know a lot about how the Immortals run, but I can tell you some of the story of their founding." As she was about to divulge the differences between Immortals and Promises, something in the air changed. Alyana hastily put a finger to her lips, straining her ears. Had that been footsteps? Surely not, since there hadn't been anyone in the underground halls with them a moment ago.
Turning on her heels, Aly stepped forward and wrinkled her nose at the sight she saw. "You look lost. New to the Island?" She simply asked the other girl who joined them. Her hair was frazzled as if from running and her features looked as though she wasn't expecting to see her and Mitzi. Frowning, Alyana stepped aside to let Mitzi have view of the younger girl as well. "I'm Aly. I just got here as well, but I was about to explain the Immortals, or at least what I know, if you haven't heard of it either?"
What was the harm in it? She didn't look like a hell-bent murderer. Though, what hell-bent murderer looked the part? Shrugging, Aly crossed her arms once more, giving Mitzi and the new addition a chance to introduce themselves.

Intrigued, Mitzi listened to the woman. She relaxed her posture as Aly began to dive into a story- which was a brief lived moment as the mood had quickly changed. Her eyes followed Aly's, to a new face. Another woman, she looked just as surprised to see them as Aly had her. Aly had stepped out of the way to give Mitzi a better observation. The woman was out of breath, but seemed normal in the least.
After Aly's introduction Mitzi followed with "Hello, I'm Mitzi. Um, I'm new as well." Letting out a half smile she ended with "I think you're just in time for story time."

Eyes wide, Catherine hesitantly took a step forward and faced the two women. As the two of them introduced themselves, she couldn't help but look between the two of them, trying to guess if they were truly being nice or if they were feigning friendliness. Not like it mattered - if they wanted her dead, they could have done it already, for she was completely vulnerable. She couldn't tell them what she was just yet, but she could introduce herself.
"I-" she began, her voice cracking as she did so - she hasn't spoken in a while. She cleared her throat, then spoke again: "My name is Catherine. Catherine Everett. You can call me any nickname you please, it doesn't matter to me." Catherine let out a breath she hadn't known she was holding in, then said, "I've heard of the Immortals, yes. I'm seeking them out, actually..wait, is this... Are you guys part of the Immortals?"
Her eyes suddenly widened again as she took in the situation. There she was, standing before two older women who could possibly be part of the Immortals? How could she get so lucky? Nonetheless, she would listen to what the two of them had to say.
"No. At least, I'm not. And frankly, have no desire to. But it seems the island is being sneaky in how it getting people here, hmm?" The Immortals had to be returning. That was the only option she could think of as to how they'd all shown up around the exact same time. Shrugging towards the two women now, Aly swept her hand out at the hall, allowing her magic to flow out from her. She concentrated on what she wanted to appear, and low-and-behold, a table, chairs, and fresh tea formed. She'd been practicing her Illusions, and her ability to create reality. Of course, she also learned how to destroy her own creations. Who would want to leave this in the middle of the hall?
Taking a seat, Aly poured herself a cup and added two sugar cubes. "Alright, time for.. Story time, as Mitzi put it." She pointed at the center of the table, not waiting for Mitzi or Cat to join her. They could have a seat and listen if the wished. Allowing her magic to be released once again, smoke and light began to meld itself on the table as she spoke, mirroring her words with faces and shapes..
Ten years ago, the world was in a state of peace. The Supernatural world and the Human world were separate. The only Humans who knew of us were the Hunters - and back then, they were unorganized and barely a threat to our way of life. Promise Island thrived as a safe haven for our kind, led by a woman named Alice who deemed her people to be Promises. Soon enough, the peace ended as the Hunters came together, organized and too large for the Promises to hold back. Many were killed, or fled the island. Those who remained, those who attempted to fight and keep their home, were now known as the Immortals. This new group banded together, led by Reast Vu. Others were involved in the creation of the Immortals as well; A man with teal hair and a woman with black wings.
That was where what she knew of the story ended, and Aly sat back, allowing the smoky images to fade. "The Immortals Island and Promise Island are completely different. Some might say the Immortals is a better option than Promise Island, but to each their own." She shrugged, looking between the two women, waiting to see if they had any questions.

Mitzi's eyes followed the hesitant woman, who now introduced herself as Catherine- with great difficulty.
Following Aly's reply Mitzi gave her own, "I'm in the same boat as you. I came her this morning, was offered a place to stay. I don't think I'm an Immortal but, I'd like to be." She nodded to Catherine.
Watching the show Aly put on, Mitzi listened with great interest, leaning against the doorframe she let the images Aly was producing take over.
As the story ended and the images faded, Mitzi was curious of Promise Island. "Is there any reason Promise Island might be a better option than the Immortals at this moment?" She asking, turning to Catherine expectingly waiting for her questions.
Mitzi wanted to weigh her options. Was there a chance this old island would be a better fit for her lifestyle?

Catherine's breath caught in her throat as Aly created the Illusion. She didn't know what to think or feel - relief, fear? Acceptance? Nonetheless, once she got over the shock of the matter, Cat took the few steps forward to take a seat at the table that was created.
She watched the show with great interest, her eyes never leaving the space it was painted on. She'd known the Immortals were a powerful force, but she hadn't know how they were created. This only made her interest in the Immortals grow even more. Cat watched intently as the show came to an end before looking up into the faces of Aly and Mitzi.
"If the Immortals Island is a better option than Promise Island, than I'm glad I'm here..." she mumbled, half to herself. "They probably would have caught up to me already, had I been on Promise Island..."
She shook her head, clearing those thoughts from it. She was safe. For now. "So...have they like, disbanded or something? Or were they forced to leave? How come I haven't seen any of them yet? I-" she shut her mouth. She should ask so many questions. Catherine sighed, closing her eyes for a moment. She didn't know what to do, nor where to go. She did know, however, that if these two knew about the Immortals, and were different, like her, then they could be trusted.
Alyana couldn't hold back her laughter as she answered the first question. "Of course not. Promise Island is destroyed, in a state of chaos, and the founder is dead for all we know. At least this place is intact." Shrugging then, Aly turned to answer Catherine. "Better at the moment. At least it looks like the Immortals came back here for some amount of time, since it seems the Hunters are gone." She thought back to the Hunter items and files littered through the previous rooms she had scouted before finding Mitzi. "Not sure about where they are now. I didn't exactly stay in touch after my first encounter with Reast. And that was oh-so long ago." Aly stood from her seat then, allowing it to disintegrate along with the table. In fact, everything simply vanished, save for the chair Catherine was in. It would have been rude to let her fall. "How exactly did you get here, anyways?"

She blinked as Alyana laughed, she has no prior knowledge of Promise Island. It obviously wasn't for her if it was as run down as she said it was. She blinked again, her face monotone as items disappeared but her mind was wandering. It was like magic. Though to Mitzi, magic wasn't real. Magic is just unexplained science. Everything is science. Her lizards, Louis and Marie crossed her mind at the thought of science. They were wonderful scientific hybrids, but also little shits- not magic.
Turning her attention to Catherine, "Yes how did you get here?" She followed Aly's question, the girl seemed to appear in thin air.

Catherine nodded in response as they answered her questions, though she felt a little sheepish that she hadn't known the answers. She listened carefully as Aly said her peace, remaining in the chair even after Aly dispersed the illusion. Cat appreciated that Aly didn't disperse her chair, for her legs were sore from all the running she'd done prior to meeting Aly and Mitzi.
Her head jerked up when she was asked the simple yet complex question...how she got here. Catherine took a deep breath and let it out before she replied, "That's a long story, actually..." she suddenly found her hands very interesting, as she stared down at them. She was never asked how she got the the Island before so she never thought about telling the story...until now. These two were obviously different, like her, so...why not trust them?
"I'm a Caligraphia," Catherine began the story. "My birth parents put me up for adoption right away. I didn't know this at the time but they did it to protect me...from a group of people who wants to kill my family." she sighed as she remembered the story. "Anyway, I was adopted into a nice family with five older siblings. When I was ten, I found out the truth of what I was. A year later, my adoptive parents found out everything and shunned me away. Of course, I had to steal and pickpocket in order to survive but hey, I did it," Cat laughing shortly to hold back her tears, "When I was 12 they found me, and, you know, typical bad guys, told me what they wanted with me, but that's a story for another day. Anyway... After they tried to kidnap me the first time, I learned how to draw my way out of situations like that - escape routes, hiding places, and things like that. When I was 13, I sneaked myself onto a cruise ship to leave Australia in the hopes that they couldn't find me again. The ship took me here and I got off. I went into hiding again, of course, but a few months ago, they found me again. That's who I was running from when I arrived here. I'm sorry if I caused any inconvenience..."
Catherine finished her story with a sigh, her eyes remaining trained on her hands as she held back her tears once more. It wasn't right to cry in front of people she barely knew. "But, uh, yeah...that's how I got here." She didn't look up, she was scared of their reactions. Her body remained stiff and rigid as she awaited their response, or questions. She didn't know what to expect, good or bad.
